(New York, NY) - QBE today announced the appointment of Robert
D. Byler as President and Head of Program Business.
In his role at QBE, Byler will focus on the program business
strategy, create and implement strategic initiatives and maintain
relationships with the insurance and reinsurance communities.
With more than 30 years in the insurance industry, Byler has led
several start-up and transitional programs. Previously, he served
as President and Chief Executive Officer of Amtrust Underwriters,
Inc. in Connecticut. Prior to that, he headed Alea Alternative
Risk, a start-up insurance and reinsurance operation.
Byler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce and
administration from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
